Andrew Murcia is the Head Sports Performance Coach for Next Level Sports Performance. Since 2016, he has overseen the development of athletes for all ages and levels of competition - from middle school all the way to professional. He has worked with NCAA, MLB, Olympic and Paralympic athletes as well as clients ranging from 11 to 50+ years old.
Prior to NLSP, Andrew earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Pennsylvania State University and has interned at several different strength and conditioning facilities, including Penn State Strength & Conditioning and SMARTER Team Training. He is currently certified as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
Andrew’s passion for training started in high school where he played both football and tennis. Through the weight room, he learned that a stronger, more conditioned athlete can bridge the gap for what they may lack in technical proficiency. However for athletes who already have a technical prowess in their sport, a well-executed strength and conditioning program can raise their profile exponentially.
Andrew enjoys working with the amateur athlete, as setting a proper foundation can have a profound effect on their potential as an athlete. He also has a passion for helping clients train around or rehab any previous or existing injury limitations they may have.
